I am serving in the New Mexico, Farmington Mission. I chose to serve a mission because I wanted to help others learn about Jesus Christ! I was also looking forward to learning a bit more about my purpose in life, and my mission so far has definitely helped me with that.

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is definitely something I appreciate because of what it allows us to do; that is, to repent of our sins!

I have been transferred to Aztec for a bit. This change has me thinking of repentance, because repentance is all about making changes for the better. When we repent, we give up the things we are doing that are wrong and ask God for forgiveness. We also do our best to make up for the things that we did wrong and we stop doing the things that aren't right. This process brings happiness and peace to your soul.

"Be content with the things which the Lord hath allotted."
This is a great scripture found in the Book of Mormon. I like it because it speaks of humility, which is a defining characteristic of Jesus Christ. Wanting more than you can or should have is not healthy for your emotional well-being. The Lord has given us a lot! If we are not content with the things the Lord has given us, then happiness is anything but possible.
